Happy May 1st!
This month marks the end of the 2023-2024 school year, and we’re thrilled to recognize our students’ incredible achievements. Get ready for a month packed with exciting events, both online and in-person.
Here’s a quick look at what’s in store:
- LaunchED Academic Awards Recognition Event (online): We’re honoring our students’ academic excellence at this virtual ceremony. More info coming soon!
- LaunchED Graduation Ceremony: Our graduation will take place at the SVVSD Innovation Center for our seniors and their invited guests. The livestream will be available for all of our LaunchED community to watch graduation as well!
Don’t miss out on these special events and all the important information below to help your student connect with LaunchED this month.
Remember, we still have a few weeks of school left, and you all still have a lot of learning to do before we start celebrating–so make sure to continue to engage in your classes and connect with your teachers!

LaunchED Picture of the Week: 5th Grade Field Day
Our 5th grade students took part in the district field day this past week and participated in obstacle courses, relay races, and more! Many of them received multiple ribbons in multiple events for all of their hard work (and big competitive spirits!). Our students loved being together and cheering each other on as well as cheering on students from all around our district. Thank you Mr. Wallace (our 6th-12th grade PE teacher) and Mr. Reid (our 5th grade teacher)–and of course, to our principal Ms. Read, for helping make this such a special experience for all of our students! And a big shoutout to all of our families for being a part of celebrating our students during this event, too!

STEM y el Club de Diseño Estudiantil tendrán lugar el martes 7 de mayo de 2024 en el Centro de Innovación, situado en el número 33 de Quail Rd, Longmont, de 15:30 a 19:00.
STEM y Club de Diseño Estudiantil
STEM y el Club de Diseño Estudiantil del Centro de Innovación tendrán lugar el martes 7 de mayo de 2024, de 15:30 a 19:00. STEM ofrecerá diversas STEM para los estudiantes, entre las que se incluye la oportunidad de conocer de primera mano cómo es participar en nuestras distintas áreas: Aeronáutica, Biociencia, Informática/Ciberseguridad, Diseño y Realidad Virtual, Emprendimiento, Robótica y Producciones de Estudio/Vídeo.
El Club de Diseño para Estudiantes, que se celebra en el marco de los eventos STEM mencionados anteriormente, ofrece a los alumnos la oportunidad de identificar problemas relevantes y presentar sus soluciones ante un público real. Los alumnos pueden utilizar el proceso de pensamiento de diseño, el método científico, el proceso de ingeniería o cualquier otro proceso de resolución de problemas para desarrollar una reflexión profunda sobre el mundo que les rodea.

ParentSquare: nuestra nueva herramienta de comunicación del distrito
St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences.
