
Welcome back! It is time to kick off another incredible school year here at LaunchED Virtual Academy! A big, warm welcome back to all our returning students, and a hearty hello to everyone joining us for the first time. We hope you had a fantastic break, feeling rested, recharged, and ready to dive back into the exciting world of online learning. Please read through this newsletter for all of the important back to school information for LaunchED and our district!

August 6th: LaunchED Blast Off! for K-5 (see more info below)
August 7th: LaunchED Blast Off! for 6-12 (see more info below)
August 13th: SVVSD First day of school for 1st-5th, 6th, 9th
August 14th: SVVSD First day of school for 7th-8th, 10th-12th
August 15th: SVVSD First day of school for kindergarten!
LaunchED Blast Off!
Please see the information below about LaunchED Blast Off! This event is a time for students to come and meet their teachers, pick up necessary supplies for LaunchED, receive their school Photo ID, and more. If you are new to St Vrain Valley School District, you will also receive your iPad. We do ask that students come on their grade level night so that they can meet their teachers. This is a “drop in” event, so please come anytime during the timeframe. Thank you!
New this Year!
Blast Off! will be at the LaunchED Campus located at 619 Bowen Street in Longmont, CO.
- K-5th Grades Elementary Blast Off! is Wednesday August 6th from 3:00–6:00pm.
- 6th-12th Grades Secondary Blast Off! is Thursday, August 7th from 3:00–6:00pm.
If you are unable to attend Blast Off!, please contact our office at 303-702-8800 and they will schedule a time for you to come and pick up materials.


Attention incoming 6th Graders for the 2025-25 School Year!

Get ready, future middle schoolers! Your adventure at LaunchED is about to begin, and we’ve got something super special just for you: 6th Grade Jumpstart!
On Thursday, August 7th, from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, we’re throwing an awesome orientation just for incoming 6th graders at our LaunchED Campus (619 Bowen Street in Longmont, CO)
What’s in store for you?
- Unlock your schedule: No more mystery! We’ll help you understand where to go and when.
- iPad power-up: Get your school iPad ready to roll with all the apps you’ll need for an amazing start.
- Email unlocked: Set up your school email so you can stay connected and get important updates.
- Super skill builders: Learn tips and tricks to build awesome habits that will make 6th grade your best year yet!
This isn’t just a meeting; it’s your official sneak peek and a chance to get a head start on an incredible middle school journey. Then, stick around to take your school ID at our Blast Off event! Mark your calendars – you won’t want to miss it!

Please join us for a New Student Orientation Session to learn all you need to know to be ready for your first day of school in LaunchED! All sessions will be through Webex. See dates and times below and choose the session that will work for you and your family:

About 2,400 receive diplomas Longmont High School graduating senior Adalee Mathias kept track of each step of her high school experience. “It took 1,375 days, and hopefully a few less tardies, to get to this field with these caps and gowns on and so many amazing memories,” Mathias told her fellow graduates.

Graduation is my favorite time of year, and this spring, as I have the privilege of celebrating my first graduation season as Superintendent of St. Vrain Valley Schools, I am overwhelmed with pride for the approximately 2,400 graduates who will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas.
