Weekly Student Art Featured

This week we are featuring our Independent Study Art Class
12th grader Christian is taking Independent Study Art. He is currently exploring textures and brushes in the Procreate App, extending his learning from 2D Design into projects of his own choosing, like this one.
Independent Study students have the opportunity to explore their own choice of projects, materials, and subjects with weekly check ins. (Also- It’s a great choice for students who want to continue with Art classes after taking all available electives and/or for students to get credit who enjoy doing art in their free time.) Thank you, Ms. Freeman, for helping our students to find their creative voices!
It’s Classified Staff Week @LaunchED!
Please join us in celebrating the incredible classified staff we have at LaunchED Virtual Academy–Bonnie Meyers & Kari Mullis! Bonnie and Kari are an integral part of supporting the students, families, and staff of LaunchED and our school is a better place because they are in it. Thank you, Bonnie & Kari!

Coat Drive: District Student Leadership Team Project!
The Longmont Rotary Winter Warmth Coat Drive runs from September 21 to October 30. Collection barrels are located throughout Longmont for gently used or new coats, blankets, hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens (note: no winter boots this year).
We’re grateful to partner once again with the OUR Center, which provides a managed path of distribution, ensuring items reach those most in need. New this year, Student Advisory Councils from St. Vrain Valley School District high schools will lead collection campaigns in their schools—engaging youth directly in this community tradition.
A heartfelt thank-you goes to our local businesses and organizations for supporting this effort. Together, the Winter Warmth Coat Drive helps keep our neighbors warm while inspiring the next generation of service.
Drop Off Locations:
LaunchED Campus 619 Bowen Street in Longmont (other locations–see this flyer with more information!)
Thank you to our Superintendent Advisory Council members for helping to lead this project along with students from around our district: Destiny (11th), Annie (12th) & Emily (12th)
