Welcome to March at LaunchED!
March is often when we see the deepest connections happening in our virtual classrooms. Whether it’s a breakout room collaboration, a chat in our STEAM after-school club, or a quick check-in with a counselor, these interactions are what turn a “school” into a “community.” We are so proud of how our students are showing up for one another and proving that online learning is anything but isolated.
Our connect in LaunchED extends directly to our faculty as well. We encourage students to maintain their momentum by engaging in office hours with their teachers. These 1-on-1 moments are more than just a way to ask about an assignment; they are a powerful tool for self-advocacy and collaboration. By leaning into these opportunities, our students aren’t just completing coursework—they are becoming confident, innovative online learners who know how to utilize every resource to propel themselves forward. Let’s make this month about reaching out and growing together!

Student Art of the Week!
MS Photography students have been exploring abstract photos, which focus on artistic elements such as shape and texture, rather than recognizable subjects. 8th graders Jax, Tyler and Braxton took these creative abstract photos using their iPads. Thank you to our art teacher, Ms. Anna Freeman, for sharing these photos with us–and congratulations to the student artists that are featured!
Building Your LaunchED Toolkit
March Focus: The Power of Reliability
Each month our 6th-12th grade advisory classes are focusing on skills of online learning that are valuable in school and beyond! This month, the focus is on the power of reliability. We wanted to share this focus with our community as a way to support students.
In an online environment, your reliability is how others know they can count on you. Showing up on time and meeting deadlines is how you tell your teachers and classmates, “I’m here, and I’m ready to contribute.” In a global world where people work across different time zones, being reliable is the foundation of every team.
Showing Up for Your Community: When you log in on time and participate, you keep the momentum going for everyone. Your presence helps create a lively, active classroom where ideas can grow.
A Digital Promise: Think of every deadline as a promise you make to yourself and your team. For you, staying on track means less stress and more confidence in your own learning. For the group, your timely work allows everyone to move forward together.

LaunchED All School SORA Reading Challenge!
During the month of March, we invite our students to join in the LaunchED SORA Reading Challenge. Our goal is that every student and staff member reads 20 minutes every school day in SORA the month of March!
Participation in this challenge will enter you into drawings for LaunchED Swag! Reading Prizes! Book Prizes! Schoology Badges! And more!
Talk with your homeroom teacher (elementary) or advisory teacher (secondary) if you need more information about getting started! Thank you!
Join us for the Future Ready Festival, a district-wide open house on Saturday, March 7, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. at Silver Creek High School. This free and welcoming event is open to families, students, educators, alumni, community members, partners, and local and state leaders. Guests will enjoy interactive learning zones, hands-on demonstrations, live student performances, and displays highlighting district programs and diverse learning pathways, along with Future-Ready Voices presentations from across St. Vrain. Attendees will also have opportunities to learn about ongoing bond projects and how they support schools and district-wide programs through interactive displays and conversations with district leaders and staff. The Future Ready Festival is designed to spark curiosity, answer questions, and celebrate student success—showcasing the St. Vrain Advantage and the opportunities available to learners of all ages.
