
Principal’s Update & Important Dates
As we approach the end of February, we’re getting excited for the upcoming spring season. Part of this season includes state assessments which is an opportunity for students to showcase their knowledge and growth while in LaunchED. We will be sending out more information to families soon about these upcoming assessments. Let’s make the most of this chance to shine!
Next week, LaunchED will be featured at the SVVSD Board of Education meeting where we’ll share student stories and recognize the incredible impact our teachers and staff have on our school community. Thank you for your continued support–we will send you a link to watch live!

St. Vrain’s Parent University program provides training, information, and resources to parents and caregivers in order to support the well-being and success of their children.
Join us for our upcoming sessions:
- February 27: Adolescent RISE; the development of adolescence 10-25 (presented by Nick Thompson) – Virtual via Zoom
- March 6: “Growing up in Public” (presented by Devorah Heitner) – Frederick High School
- March 11: The Student Perspective: The Power of Self-Advocacy (presented by Yes! Ambassadors) – Westview Middle School

CMAS & SAT/PSAT Coming Soon!
Spring Assessment season is right around the corner, and it the opportunity for our students to show what they know! And to once again, show the power of being an online learner. We have three different assessments that we will be hosting for our students in April.
- CMAS: Colorado Measures of Academic Success for students in 3rd–8th grade and 11th graders
- PSAT: 9th and 10th graders
- SAT: 11th graders
We will be sending out more information soon to these grade levels about this opportunity and a chance for us to show the world the powerful learning that takes place in LaunchED!

Students in LaunchED are starting to really figure out how to build opportunities within and beyond the school day to connect with each other. We have clubs and groups and so many ways for students to dig deeper into things that they care about that also have a strong connection to learning. Students–make sure that you are checking in with your advisory teachers for announcements about all the ways you can get involved in LaunchED!
STEAM Clubs in LaunchED! We have a STEAM Club for every grade level in LaunchED–join us, there are always in person and at home options!




Nomination Round for our 2nd Annual Battle of the Books!
Students–this is your chance to vote for your favorite books that you read this year for our nomination round for battle of the books. Parents, you might have to help your younger students fill out this form. Graphic novels, picture book, novels, etc–all are welcome as part of this nomination process.
Student Art Showcase: Each week we will feature art and products created by our students in LaunchED in their art classes (including photography, animation creation, video production, computer graphics, etc.)
