Thank you to our School Counseling Team!

This week is National School Counseling Week, and we want to take a big, loud moment to celebrate our three incredible counselors!
From mapping out academic pathways to providing the encouragement a student needs on a tough day, our counselors are the ultimate advocates for our learners. They work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to reach their goals.
To our “Big Three” –Megan Fruvellhoff (Academic Counselor 8th-12th grade); Britt Hakonson (Academic Counselor K-7th) and Julie Mitchell (K-12 Interventionist)—thank you for your heart, your patience, and your dedication to our community. You make LaunchED a place where students don’t just log in, but truly belong.
If you would like to send a message to our counselors thanking them for their work supporting your students, you can do so here: https://forms.gle/4MbYa1sA1myjxjhg9

It is time for Family/Teacher conferences at LaunchED Virtual Academy!

This semester, we are hosting conferences the week of February 2nd-5th.
This time is a chance to discuss your student’s progress with their teachers, celebrate strengths, and work together on any areas where your student might need more support.
We encourage our students and families to take this opportunity to meet with their student’s teachers, especially in this mid-year point as we still have so many opportunities to support your students! Please use the link below to sign up for a time that works best for your schedule: https://sites.google.com/svvsd.org/launchedfamilyresources/conferences
We look forward to connecting with you and collaborating on your student’s continued success here at LaunchED. If you have any questions, please reach out to our office at 303-702-8800 and we will help you with signing up for a conference!

It’s Scheduling Season in LaunchED!
Do you have a rising 6th-12th grader for the 2026/27 school year? We encourage you to check in with your students and talk about the classes they are requesting for their schedule next year.
Each grade has received a presentation about their schedule and the options they have for electives, advanced coursework, and more! Students can access these materials in their Advisory courses, and as always, please reach out if you have any questions!

Help Your Student be a Future-Ready Learner in LaunchED!
This semester we are highlighting important skills that our students need to be successful online learners as well as adults in a globalized world! This month, we are focusing on the habit of “The Power of Presence” and we encourage you to talk about this information with your students.
Habit #2: The Power of Presence in Online Learning
In a physical classroom, people can see you are there just by looking at your chair. In the online world, your voice and your ideas are how you show up.
Make Your Mark: When you unmute or share a thought, you transition from a “viewer” to a “contributor.” This is the #1 skill used in the global workforce today.
Build Your Confidence: Practicing your “digital voice” now makes you a leader in any future online meeting or project you join.

St. Vrain Valley Schools invites the community to attend the Future Ready Festival. This district-wide open house allows visitors to explore the innovative programs and pathways that define the St. Vrain Advantage.
