Principal’s Update & Important Dates
October is here and we’re celebrating all the ways our students are connecting with their teachers, each other, and their school work. We see some amazing products that students share (see some cool products here at the Social Studies website: https://sites.google.com/svvsd.org/ss-news/student-spotlights). Be sure to ask your students to show you what they are learning, the things they are creating, and the ways they are connecting with their classmates. Happy Fall everyone!

LaunchED Gala Basket Donations
St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation hosts an annual gala that includes a silent auction of gift baskets provided by each school. The money raised as part of this silent auction is used to fund innovative grants around our district by teachers. In fact, Sherry Legrand, our STEAM teacher, received one of these grants last year to help launch a very special project for our school. Click here to read more about the gala: https://stvrainfoundation.org/events/st-vrain-valley-gala/
This year, in honor of that project, the LaunchED gift basket theme for the auction is Pollinator Habitats! We are going to create a basket including helpful items for building a pollinator habitat at home.
If you would like to donate items to our basket, please bring them to the LaunchED Campus at 619 Bowen Street. If are interested in making a cash donation to help support purchases for this basket, please call the office at 303-702-8800.
Here are items that we are hoping to collect:
🐝 Humming Bird feeder
🐝 Lego Flower Sets (see example set by clicking here)
🐝 Wildflower Seeds for Native Colorado Plants
🐝 Gift Cards to Local Nurseries (Flower Bin in Longmont, Tree Farm Nursery and Garden Center, etc.)
🐝 Gardening Tools Set
