A Fresh Start for a New Semester

Happy New Year and welcome back! There is something truly energizing about the start of a new semester—it’s a clean slate and the perfect time to build some fresh momentum. Whether you’re looking to level up your study habits or just stay more organized, we want to make sure you and your family feel fully supported from day one.

Remember, you have a solid team and great tools in your corner. For our elementary students, we recommend taking advantage of all the time your teacher offers for support outside of the normal class time (in your small groups, in 1:1 learning opportunities, etc). Your teachers are here for you!

For our 6th-12th graders, advisory classes are your home base for connection, while Office Hours offer that valuable one-on-one time with teachers to dive deeper into your lessons. To keep the big picture in focus, we encourage you to regularly check Infinite Campus for grades and Schoology for all your daily assignments and course materials. Parents and families, help your students by encouraging these good habits and helping them access the support they need.

Starting a new chapter can feel like a lot to balance, but you’ve totally got this. We are so proud of our LaunchED learners and can’t wait to see all the growth and innovation this semester will bring. Let’s make it an awesome one!

Attention Middle & High School Students!
📝 Your “Start Strong” Checklist

Use these four keys to stay on track and make the most of this semester:

  • Check Schoology During and After Classes: This is your hub for all assignments, lesson materials, and daily updates.
  • Monitor Progress in Infinite Campus: Log in regularly to stay up-to-date on grades and see how you’re progressing in your courses.
  • Engage in Advisory: Your Advisory class is the best place to build community and stay connected with school-wide opportunities.
  • Utilize Office Hours: Don’t wait until you’re stuck! Office hours are dedicated time for you to ask questions and get 1-on-1 support from your teachers.

If the last semester did not end like you hoped it would, this is the time to re-focus your habits and engage in all the support we provide. This is your time to make this semester awesome!

Last Year’s Gala basket for the silent auction from LaunchED 🙂

Help us build our Gala basket for the silent auction!

Each year our St. Vrain Valley Education Foundation provides funds to support students and teachers across our district. To raise money for this support, the Education Foundation hosts an annual gala and silent auction. (Link for information about the Gala event)

The silent auction includes a basket from each school, and in years past we have put together some great baskets! (Pollinator & Garden Basket, Creativity Basket). Our theme this year for LaunchED is Game Night! We are asking for donations of new family games to include in this basket (Fun Card Games, Board Games, Game Night snacks, etc).

You can drop items off at our LaunchED campus if you would like to support the creation of this basket. Items are due by January 30th.
