Heading Into that Final Stretch

The energy at LaunchED right now is honestly contagious. It’s been a joy to watch our students step up this month, showing real maturity and dedication as we head into the home stretch of the school year. We also want to give a huge shout-out to our learners for how they handled state testing recently; they approached the challenge with focus and resilience, navigating a new way of taking CMAS (at home). It was great to see them showcase the academic skills they’ve been sharpening all year long. Also, we want to shout out our incredible 9th-11th grade students who took the PSAT/SAT this past week as well. Its been a busy time of students showing off how much they have learned and we are proud of their hard work.

As we turn the corner into these final weeks, we want to encourage everyone to fully embrace this last burst of learning. Now is the time to take all that momentum and finish the year on a high note! A perfect way to celebrate that success is to join us at the Unframed Student Art Show at the Boulder County Fairgrounds from April 14–19 , where many of our own LaunchED artists will have their work on display. We are so incredibly proud of the progress our students have made—let’s keep that spirit going right up until the last class!

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool

A family sits on a couch, engaging with a tablet while smiling and sharing ideas in a cozy living room.

St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.

After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.

Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.

April Focus: The Power of Taking Action

Habit # 4 The Power of Taking Action (Self-Advocacy)

In an online world, people can’t always see when you’re stuck or having a hard time. That’s why being able to “take action” is one of the important tools for digital learners. Whether it’s a tech glitch, a confusing assignment, or just needing an extra day, speaking up for yourself is how you take the lead in your own education.

Don’t Sit in Silence: If you’ve been staring at a screen for 10 minutes and haven’t moved forward, that’s your cue to reach out. Sending a quick message or asking a question isn’t “bothering” anyone—it’s the way that you receive support and move forward as a learner!

The Solution Mindset: In any future job, the most successful people aren’t the ones who know everything; it’s the ones who know how to find the answer. When you ask for help, you aren’t failing—you’re being a problem-solver who refuses to let a roadblock stop them
