Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
It is officially Teacher Appreciation Week, and we couldn’t let the moment pass without shining a bright spotlight on the heart and soul of LaunchED—our incredible teachers. In a digital learning environment, the bond between a teacher and a student looks a little different, but it is no less powerful. Whether they are designing innovative STEAM challenges, hosting extra office hours to ensure a student feels confident, or providing the high expectations and kindness that help our learners see their own potential, our teachers truly do it all.
This week is all about pausing to recognize the dedication it takes to mentor and inspire from behind a screen. We have seen firsthand how our educators go above and beyond to turn a virtual classroom into a true community where every student is seen and supported. To our families: if a teacher has made a difference for your student this year—whether by helping them find their “digital voice” or supporting them through a tough project—now is the perfect time to send a quick note of thanks.
To our staff: thank you for your resilience, your creativity, and your unwavering commitment to our students’ growth. We are so lucky to have you!
Important Dates & Upcoming Events:
May 6th: Late Start for Students/Professional Learning for LaunchED
May 12th: LaunchED Academic Awards (info coming soon!)
May 21st: Last Day of School!
May 21st: Class of 2026 LaunchED Virtual Academy Graduation
Student Art of the Week!

Middle School Photography students were challenged to find lines in everyday objects looking like the letters of their names. 8th graders Braxton and Isabella both got very creative to complete their names, using the cameras and editing features on their student iPads.
And a special shout out to art teacher, Ms.Anna Freeman, for all the work she does to inspire students to embrace their creativity!

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool

St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.
After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.
