Principal’s Update & Important Dates

Welcome back to a vibrant week of learning at LaunchED Virtual Academy! Spring is in the air, and with it comes the exciting opportunity to showcase your academic growth through our upcoming state assessments (CMAS and PSAT/SAT). These assessments are a chance for you to shine and demonstrate everything you’ve learned this year!

Next week, we will send out important communication about the schedule for each week of testing and ensure that all students understand where to go during those weeks (whether they are taking the assessment or their parents are opting them out).

We know LaunchED has incredible learners, and this is a chance to show the district and state just how much you’ve accomplished this year!

LaunchED Community – Hearing and Vision Screening May 3, 2024

Take advantage of this opportunity for your child to be screened for hearing and vision by the district screening team!

Being able to see and hear is vital to a child’s ability to thrive, both academically and socially.

Attached is a google survey which is being sent to all LaunchEd parents with the option to sign up for a time slot for the screening on May 3rd.

The screening will take place in the Agile Room on the LaunchEd campus. We hope you make use of this opportunity!  https://forms.gle/pCArpS4S1wsSXCZD8

Student Artwork Corner

Recently our 3rd grade students worked with our amazing STEAM teacher, Sherry Legrand, and made plans to trap leprechauns! This assignment was about ideating the possibilities and then creating a prototype drawing that showed that critical thinking. You can see the engagement of our students (and it really was a complex thinking task!). Thank you Ms. Legrand and Ms. LaFaye for sharing these!
